Who Are We?

The Association of Consulting Foresters (ACF), the only national organization for consulting foresters, was founded in 1948 by and for practicing foresters who work on this great nation's 430 million acres of privately held lands.  Membership in the association is limited to professional foresters who serve the general public in all woodland-related interests.

The Alabama Chapter of Consulting Foresters was founded in the late 60's.  It is our goal to live and work by the mission set forth by the National ACF.  Each Alabama member is dedicated to maintain a healthy, productive, forestland resource base.  We believe that multiple use of public forest lands, yielding commodities and intangible benefits to all segments of society, serves the public interest better than single-use preservation as wilderness.
